Graciosa,the island of your dreams, you'll take off your shoes and forget the world. There isn't traffic, pollution and overall, there isn't stress!!!!!!


The island is included in the canary-islands, and is 27km2,vulcanic,with 525 habitants, of them 300 are professional fishermen.

The highest mountain is Pedro Barba(266 mt.),then there is Amarilla mountain(170mt).

Graciosa is the northest of the inhabited islands ,.and forms with the islands of Montana Clara, and Alegranza the oceanic platform,where many species of animals and birds can reproduce, making Graciosa an unique place in Europe for fishing.

This "chinijo archipelago" is a natural park,where lives the rarely seen Queen's hawk. The island is a deserted haven for rabbits and birds,there isn't cultivation because there isn't ground water due to the short rainy days.

Temperature hasn't big thermic changes, it never goes under 14 degrees and never above 28 which is why the Canary islands are called the land of eternal spring. 

There are many beaches:the biggest is "la concha" beach(so called because is made of tiny shells),and "concha" in spanish means "shell". Francesa beach, conejo beach, and Cocina beach in Amarilla mountain bay are all within walking distance

Town is formed by cubic, white houses with green and blue windows.

There're two little markets, a church, doctor service(24 hrs a day),a pharmacy ,many little bars ,restaurant and two little hostels.

Graciosa is connected to Lanzarote by a short arm of sea,but in 25 minutes, with the ferry, you'll be on the other side

Reaching Graciosa:
Fly to Lanzarote island(Arrecife,the capital),then catch a taxi(cost 30/35 EURO) and go straight to Orzola ,there wait for the ferry which takes 20-25 minutes to bring you to Graciosa (cost: 13 EURO,and back). 

Weather: Windy, suggested a wind-stop jacket and a cotton pullover. 

Suggestions for Women: elegant shoes are inpractical because the streets are made of sand. Bring sun-protection cream, loose and confortable dresses, and, of course bathing clothes!!!!! You can do shopping on Lanzarote.

Excursions: By Car ,by mountain bike,or on foot around the island. It's possible to organise a trip to Lanzarote with or without guide. 

Sport activities: Apart of kite we have sailing,snorkeling,mountain-bikes.
